There is no true AUX input for the RF 6 cd changer, but there is a DIN connection that can be used as an aux input, with the modification of the proper cable. I know i've seen this, i'll dig around for it.
Sorry to dig up this old thread but...
My girlfriend just bought a 2002 XE w/ 63,000 miles and it has a non-Rockford Fosgate head unit. From some research Ive found its Panasonic that makes the head unit but is there any way to hook up an aux input to that? no CD changer, no Fosgate, just single CD/AM/FM. Thanks a ton everyone!
Check my reply #7 above - it has a link to a do-it-yourself and a version you can buy of an aux-in that plugs into the back of the cd player. The dash comes apart with about 6 philips head screws - it's real easy. You also have to tap into a wire right there, but that's easy too if you have pliers.
Also note that it's RCA plugs - you may need an adapter for your device.
I haven't tried this thing myself, just found it on the internet... But I don't know why it wouldn't work.
Sorry Im dragging this up again. I have most of the parts except the aux switch. My question is if I use a momentary switch does it have to be latching or will a non latching momentary switch work to signal the head unit into aux mod? Latching being push for on and push again for off, where non latching is you push it and if you hold it down its on otherwise it pops up and turns off.
